Individuals who are both World of Hyatt members and AAdvantage® members with AAdvantage Gold® status or higher will be eligible to earn both AAdvantage® miles and World of Hyatt points on their eligible spend on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences.

To earn, you must:

  • Be both a World of Hyatt member and an AAdvantage® member with AAdvantage Gold® status or higher
  • Link your AAdvantage® account to your World of Hyatt account

After linking your accounts, you can automatically earn AAdvantage® miles when you earn World of Hyatt points on your eligible spend on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences.

Earn on your American Airlines flights

Individuals who are both AAdvantage® members and World of Hyatt members with Discoverist elite status or higher will be eligible to earn both AAdvantage® miles and World of Hyatt Bonus Points on their eligible American Airlines flights.

To earn, you must:

  • Be both an AAdvantage® member and a World of Hyatt member with Discoverist elite status or higher
  • Link your World of Hyatt account to your AAdvantage® account

After linking your accounts, you can automatically earn World of Hyatt Bonus Points when you earn AAdvantage® miles on eligible American Airlines flights.

Offers to earn AAdvantage® status and World of Hyatt elite status

After linking their World of Hyatt and AAdvantage® accounts, certain World of Hyatt members with World of Hyatt Explorist elite status or higher may, from time to time, be selected for the opportunity to participate in offers to earn AAdvantage® status by traveling on eligible American Airlines flights during the designated offer period.

Check your AAdvantage® account page to see if you have been selected for the opportunity to participate in an AAdvantage® status offer, and, if so, for further details on AAdvantage® status offer opportunities. Additionally, American Airlines or World of Hyatt will inform you in the event you are selected for the opportunity to participate in an AAdvantage® status offer.

To receive AAdvantage® status offer emails, you must:

  • Have a valid email address listed in your AAdvantage® account in order for American Airlines to email you in the event you are so selected. You can manage your AAdvantage® email preferences from your AAdvantage® account page.
  • Have a valid email address listed in your World of Hyatt account in order for World of Hyatt to email you in the event you are so selected. You can manage your World of Hyatt email preferences from your World of Hyatt account page.

Additionally, after linking their AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts, certain AAdvantage® members with AAdvantage Platinum® status or higher may, from time to time, be selected for the opportunity to participate in offers to earn World of Hyatt elite status by completing qualifying nights at Hyatt properties during the designated offer period.

World of Hyatt or American Airlines will inform you in the event you are selected for the opportunity to participate in a World of Hyatt elite status offer.

To receive status offer emails, you must:

  • Have a valid email address listed in your World of Hyatt account in order for World of Hyatt to email you in the event you are so selected. You can manage your World of Hyatt email preferences from your World of Hyatt account page.

Rules, terms and conditions

Earning on your eligible spend on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences

  • You may participate only if you are both an AAdvantage® member in good standing with AAdvantage Gold® status or higher and a World of Hyatt member in good standing.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to participate. By linking your AAdvantage® account to your World of Hyatt account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
  • To participate, you must link your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts. You may participate only if, and as long as, your accounts are linked. See the account linking terms and conditions below.
  • After linking your accounts, you will continue to earn World of Hyatt points as provided in the World of Hyatt program terms. Additionally, you will earn 1 AAdvantage® mile per U.S. dollar of your eligible spend on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences.
  • Qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences and what constitutes eligible spend for purposes of this promotion are set forth in the World of Hyatt terms and conditions for this promotion. Spend on Hyatt stays or experiences that occurs before you link your accounts is not eligible for this promotion.
  • In order to earn both World of Hyatt points and AAdvantage® miles on your eligible spend on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences, you must be both an AAdvantage® member with AAdvantage Gold® status or higher and a World of Hyatt member at the time you check out from your qualifying Hyatt stay or experience.
  • If you cease to have AAdvantage Gold® status or higher at any time after linking your accounts, you will stop earning AAdvantage® miles through this promotion on your eligible spend on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences. If you later regain AAdvantage Gold® status or higher while your accounts are linked and this promotion is being offered, you will start earning AAdvantage® miles again through this promotion on your eligible spend on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences.
  • American Airlines or Hyatt may, at any time and without notice, modify, discontinue or terminate this promotion or any terms and conditions specific to this promotion.
  • Additional American Airlines terms and conditions apply, including the AAdvantage® terms and conditions, which American Airlines may, at any time and without notice, modify, discontinue or terminate. Participation in World of Hyatt is subject to the World of Hyatt program terms.

Earning on your eligible American Airlines flights

  • You may participate only if you are both an AAdvantage® member in good standing and a World of Hyatt member in good standing with World of Hyatt Discoverist elite status or higher.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to participate. By linking your AAdvantage® account to your World of Hyatt account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
  • Participating requires you to link your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts. You may participate only if, and as long as, your accounts are linked. See the account linking terms and conditions below.
  • After linking your accounts, you will continue to earn AAdvantage® miles on your flights as provided in the AAdvantage® terms and conditions. Additionally, you will earn 1 World of Hyatt Bonus Point per U.S. dollar you spend on the eligible fares of your eligible flights.
  • An eligible flight is any flight marketed by American Airlines and operated by American Airlines or American Eagle® regional carriers. Flights marketed and/or operated by American Airlines’ other partners and/or codeshare partners are not eligible flights. Flights that do not earn AAdvantage® miles are not eligible flights. Visit the link below for more information on flights that do and do not earn AAdvantage® miles. Flights that earn AAdvantage® miles based on the distance flown, either due to the type of ticket purchased (such as bulk fares or consolidator fares), or because the ticket/fare details are not available at the time the flight posts to your AAdvantage® account, are not eligible flights. Flights taken prior to linking your AAdvantage® account and World of Hyatt account are not eligible flights.
  • An eligible fare means the ticket price published by American Airlines, and paid to American Airlines, for an eligible flight, exclusive of any applicable taxes, fees, surcharges or ancillary products.
  • In order to earn both AAdvantage® miles and World of Hyatt points on any eligible flight, you must be both an AAdvantage® member and a World of Hyatt member with World of Hyatt Discoverist elite status or higher at the time the eligible flight departs.
  • World of Hyatt Bonus Points do not count toward earning World of Hyatt elite status.
  • If you cease to have World of Hyatt Discoverist elite status or higher at any time after linking your accounts, you will stop earning World of Hyatt Bonus Points on your eligible flights. If you later regain World of Hyatt Discoverist elite status or higher while your accounts are linked and this promotion is being offered, you will start earning World of Hyatt Bonus Points again on your eligible flights.
  • American Airlines or Hyatt may, at any time and without notice, modify, discontinue or terminate this promotion or any terms and conditions specific to this promotion.
  • Additional American Airlines terms and conditions apply, including the AAdvantage® terms and conditions, which American Airlines may, at any time and without notice, modify, discontinue or terminate. Participation in World of Hyatt is subject to the World of Hyatt program terms.

Linking your AAdvantage® account to your World of Hyatt account

Participating in the promotions described on this page requires you to link your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts.

In order to link your accounts, you must:

  • Be a member in good standing of both the AAdvantage® program and the World of Hyatt program
  • Have either AAdvantage Gold® status or higher, or World of Hyatt Discoverist elite status or higher
  • Ensure that your first and last name as listed in your AAdvantage® account matches your first and last name as listed in your World of Hyatt account
  • Be at least 18 years old. By linking your accounts, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old

If you have AAdvantage Gold® status or higher, you can link your accounts from your AAdvantage® account page.

Your AAdvantage® account

If you have World of Hyatt Discoverist elite status or higher, you can link your accounts on your World of Hyatt account page. If you have both AAdvantage Gold® status or higher and World of Hyatt Discoverist elite status or higher, you can link your accounts either from your AAdvantage® account page or your World of Hyatt account page, but you do not need to link your accounts from both locations.

Once linked, your accounts will remain linked even if you cease to have AAdvantage® status in the AAdvantage® program, the World of Hyatt program, or both; provided, however, that American Airlines or Hyatt may, at any time and without notice, unlink your accounts, at which time you will no longer be able to participate in any promotions that require your accounts to be linked. See below for information on unlinking your AAdvantage® account from your World of Hyatt account.

Once your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts are linked, American Airlines will share with Hyatt information about your AAdvantage® account, receive from Hyatt information about your World of Hyatt account, and share with and receive from Hyatt information related to your purchase activity and other interactions with American Airlines and/or Hyatt, as well as other information about you related to the promotions described on this page and/or any other promotions offered in connection with your linked accounts.

American Airlines’ treatment of your information, including information about you that American Airlines receives from Hyatt, will be in accordance with American Airlines’ privacy policy. American Airlines is responsible for marketing activities conducted by American Airlines, but American Airlines is not responsible for any marketing activities conducted by Hyatt.

American Airlines is not responsible for Hyatt’s use of your information, including information about you that American Airlines provides to Hyatt.

After linking your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts, if you would like American Airlines to stop sharing your information with Hyatt, then you must unlink your accounts. See below for information about unlinking your accounts.

As a member of both AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt, you may be contacted with information about promotions offered by American Airlines and/or Hyatt, including promotions for which you have registered and promotions for which you have not registered. You can manage your AAdvantage® email preferences from your AAdvantage® account page, and you can manage your World of Hyatt email preferences from your World of Hyatt account page.

You may unlink your AAdvantage® account from your World of Hyatt account at any time; however, you will no longer be able to participate in any promotions that require your accounts to be linked.

To unlink your accounts, you must either:

  • Call AAdvantage® customer service at 800-882-8880 (or your AAdvantage® status reservation number), Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. (CT); or
  • Call World of Hyatt customer service according to your region

You do not need to call both AAdvantage® customer service and World of Hyatt customer service in order to unlink your accounts.

American Airlines may, from time to time, select certain World of Hyatt members with World of Hyatt Explorist elite status or higher who have linked their AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts for the opportunity to participate in offers to earn AAdvantage® status by traveling on eligible American Airlines flights during the designated offer period. Selections for the opportunity to participate in any such AAdvantage® status offers will be made in American Airlines’ and Hyatt’s sole discretion.

In the event that you are selected for the opportunity to participate in any such AAdvantage® status offer, additional terms and conditions will apply.
